Phillip Wells Robison was born to Robert and Mildred (Wells) Robison June 18, 1940, in Beloit, WI. He grew up in the Family Home in Clinton, WI. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1958.

Phil joined the United States Navy, September 1958. He was stationed on the USS Vega as an electrician. He was on a ship for the three years he served. Traveling to Japan, Hawaii, and Owanawa. After the Navy, he worked as an electrician. He lived in Oakland California and worked for the utility company as a lineman. Phil traveled (tramped) all over the USA, working in Arizona, New Mexico, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, and Wisconsin. He returned to Clinton, WI and become a journeyman electrician and joined the IBEW local 364 in Rockford, IL, where he was a member till his passing.

Phil also worked as an electrical inspector for Winnebago County, IL. He also was a building official for the City of Loves Park, IL. Phil was on the council of building codes in Belloit, WI, he was a code administrator and an officer for the Union Local 364 in Rockford IL, He became a Master Electrician in WI.

Phil had a great love for motorcycles, his first bike was a Triumph, he also owned a BSA and many Harleys. He raced motorcycles on a dirt track in Oakland CA. Phil started the Harley Davidson HOG group at Kegal's Harley Davidson Shop in Rockford IL in 1987. Phil & his wife rode to many places, Colorado Mountains, Smokey Mountains, Dakotas, Carolinas and, Louisiana. Phil rode until he was in his 70's, his last motorcycle was a Honda Trike that he had to buy to be able to ride, at the time his legs were getting weaker due to his health. In his younger years, Phil was a boxer and took 2nd place in the golden gloves in Rockford IL. Phil was a Masonic, he belonged to the American Legion, International Brotherhood of Electrician Workers and was a union member. Phis is survived by his wife and best friend Sandra L (Brinnman) Robison, two daughters Becky, Cesena, CA, Pamela (Gene) Yamoto, AZ (Children - Sarah, Samantha , Kellely) two sons Christopher (Lynn) Robison (Children- Parker, Jessica, Coty, Jeffery), and Travis Kelsey (Child - Sarah) both of WI and six great-grandchildren. Sister Amy Glawe, IL, and one brother (deceased) William Robison of Nebraska. Dear friends Joe & Sandy Creton, Holan & Jackie Puckette, Dave & Cindy, Ed & Jody Cotton, Robert & Dorothy, Jim & Hilda, Gwen & Randy, Shawna, all of Pace Florida. Debbie Adams of Rockford IL.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Robison. Special thanks to the hospice group, Kristal, Sunday and Kim and a very special thanks to Cindy Holloway.

Phil believed this ... Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out Shouting: "HOLY COW... WHAT A RIDE!"
