Myrtle Willis Luke passed away peacefully at Sandy Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Home in Milton, FL on June 29, 2017. Myrtle was born September 21, 1915, in Santa Rosa County, FL to Don Carlos & Lula Clyde Willis. She graduated as Salutatorian from Allentown High School in 1935 and attended a "girl's business school" in Brewton, AL.

Myrtle, at 101 years old, credited her long life to having a caring & loving family and an abundance of wonderful friends. She loved to pass down stories of her many happy memories to her children, grandchildren, friends & anyone else who loved to hear a good story.

Myrtle married Clyde Luke May 21, 1938, & remained married for almost 62 years. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Brown (Robert), and Brenda Ericson (Vance); four grandchildren, Mike Brown (Kim), Bobby Brown (Tami), Jennifer Ericson, and Shea Weiler (Scott); four great-grandchildren, Craig Brown (Lana), Keri Tindell (Andrew), Mikey Brown, and Travis Brown; plus many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; mother and father; sister, Ethel Henderson; and brothers, William F. & Don C. Jr.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Sandy Ridge for their tender loving care these last few years.

Services were scheduled for July 3, 2017, at Community of Christ Church, 110 Raymond Hobbs St., Milton, FL, with visitation12-1pm and service at 1 pm. Burial at Pensacola Memorial Gardens followed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 5536 Stewart St., Milton, FL 32570 or to Community of Christ Church.
