Maggie Elizabeth Fletcher, age 24 of Long Beach, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Maggie was preceded in death by her grandfather, John V. Fletcher, Sr; maternal grandparents, Pat and Ruth Patterson, and Bill Brooks; her mother, Susan Eileen Fletcher; and uncles, Winston Pat Patterson, Jr. and John V. Fletcher, Jr.

She is survived by her father, Samuel Paul Fletcher; grandmother, Betty Jo Fletcher; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Maggie will be remembered as a loving, compassionate young lady with a will to fight. She battled brain cancer twice as a child and won that fight both times. She lost her mother at a very young age, but she did not let that define her. Maggie was passionate about life and confidence radiated from her. She always believed in herself and stood by her beliefs. Maggie was very friendly and outgoing; she never met a person that didn't become a friend.

'Be Different. Be Kind. Be yourself.'

Maggie was also a huge NASCAR fan; her favorite drivers were the Hendrix drivers, especially Jeff Gordon. She would always get very excited before a big race and her excitement was indisputable. She loved to watch WWE wrestling and was a John Cena fan.
