Grover Charles Cook born 2/5/1940 died 6/19/2017 peacefully at home with his Sons and Daughter-in-laws by his side. Charles was a fiercely intelligent man, deeply religious and very spiritual. He was truly a bible scholar and knew the word of God very well.

From time to time Charles would preach at various churches of Christ in the area. He taught classes in High School and Colleges. Charles served in the Army during the Korean War. Charles attended the University of Houston and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1974. He attended the University of South Alabama obtaining a Master of Arts degree in English in 1995 and later received a Masters Degree in English from the University of West Florida. At an early age Charles attended many trade schools so by trade he was an Electrician, a Plumber, a Master Carpenter, and a Diesel Mechanic in addition to his previous Academic educations. He was also a Fireman at the 4th precinct in Pensacola, FL many years ago. Most significantly he was a writer and authored three books.

Charles has been a member of several churches in the area, including some rural churches in Southern Alabama. Charles is survived by his Sister Emma Lee Coleman, His Sons Edward "Buddy" and James Cook, His Daughter in Laws Grace Cook and Sally K Cook. His Daughters Jeanne Allen and Carla Hoch. Twelve Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren. He's proceeded by his parents Grover Cleveland and Johnnie Bell Cook. Memorial service will be held at the National Cremation & Burial Society. 5641 Hwy. 90 West, Milton Florida 32583. Friday, June 23rd, 2017 with visitations beginning at 2:00 p.m and Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m.
