Colleen Ann Swartz was born on March 2, 1962, in Harford, Connecticut, along with her twin, Lynn Marie. The girls were soon adopted into a loving home and raised in Connecticut until after graduating High School when she joined the Air Force in 1981.

At her first duty station at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona, Colleen met her soul mate, Martin Allen, to marry, honorable discharge, and begin raising their two sons, Paul Martin and Nickolas Dean by 1983.

Colleen followed her husband through his twenty-six year Air Force career from Arizona, to Spain, Germany, Italy, and finally to retire at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, Florida. Because she chose to volunteer to stay involved with her sons' growing up, she assisted teachers, as well as work in the supply room, to receive Volunteer of the Year in 1997. Enjoying watching her sons play sports at the newly built Navarre High School in 1998, she and her husband volunteered in the Booster Clubs for football and basketball.

Colleen worked at the Navarre branch of Allstate, as well as at Central Landfill in Milton, Florida, for Santa Rosa County, until ovarian cancer chemotherapy became too much for her in 2015. It recurred months after her initial treatment ended, but that didn't stop her zeal for life. She enjoyed jogging, traveling, crocheting, writing letters and reading novels. While her greatest joys are her two sons and two granddaughters, Faryn Jade and Bailey Quinn, and just born, Anderson Paul. Her greatest blessing was accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in February 1984. If not for Martin sharing the salvation message when they were dating, and asking if she personally believed in Jesus' plan for her salvation, she might not be in heaven today where she is celebrating the gift of eternal life in God's presence.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Allen, her twin, Lynn Marie Robie, her mother, Emma Rosalie Wootton, brother, Duane Edward Wootton, sons, Paul Martin and Nickolas Dean, and granddaughters, Faryn Jade and Bailey Quinn, and grandson Anderson Paul. Colleen passed away peacefully on 18 May while in hospice care. Thank you, Covenant House.
