Charles Stephen "Chuck" Geiger was born April 5, 1961, at US Naval Air Station at Roosevelt Roads in Puerto Rico. He passed away on June 3, 2017, at his residence in Milton, FL after a lengthy illness. He was outgoing, friendly, fun to be around and easily made friends - never meeting a stranger, evident by his many friends who join in with Chuck's family in mourning in his passing. During his working days, he was instrumental in the construction of schools, businesses and residential housing working with many contractors in various places. From all accounts, he was a hard and dependable worker and always gave it his all in whatever he was doing. He had a loving and giving heart and would give anything even when he didn't have it to spare if he knew you needed it. He'd also have cookouts for friends in the neighborhood. He knew how to grill and fry! He also loved children and animals. There was usually a dog in his life. Chuck had many interests and enjoyed the outdoors - fishing, swimming, and pitching horseshoes. He also loved sports, especially football and auto races and spent a lot of time watching them on television. He was an avid fan of Florida State University and Louisiana State University football.

Due to his father's serving in the Navy, in his earlier years, he lived in Millington, TN, Milton, FL, Mayport, FL and Palm Valley, FL where in his teens he was a member of the Junior Volunteer Fire Department before moving back to Milton which he considered to be his hometown. He attended Milton High School.

Chuck was predeceased by his father, Frank R. Geiger of Milton, FL and his maternal grandparents, Johnie I. and Amanda Pope Forbes as well as his paternal grandparents, Archie and Madie "Nanny" Wilson Geiger all of Columbia, MS. He is survived by his mother, Edith Forbes "Edie" Geiger of Milton, FL; his sister, Terri Lynn Geiger Carnley and her husband, Alvin Carnley of Jay, FL; and his brother, John Stanley Geiger and his wife, Shannon Remele Geiger of Madison, AL. Chuck also leaves behind a niece, Amanda Carnley deGraaf and nephew Jay Carnley of Jay, FL; and nieces Courtney Ann Geiger of Memphis, TN and Ashton Rebekah Geiger of Madison, AL.

Chuck is now in the tender loving care of Trahan Family Funeral Home at 6539 Trammel Drive, Milton, FL 32570. On Tuesday night, June 6th, the celebration of life service was be led by Brother Ford Jordan, one of Chuck's longtime friend.
